She is considered a bit of a pro when it comes to implementing National Qualifications into organisations and ensuring the very best completion rates.
She is a broadly skilled training professional proficient in needs analysis, research, and design and development of learning programmes for classroom or distance learning. She is a maniac administrator of process and dedicated to ensuring any and all training delivered has a measurable return. Andrée’s style of delivery has been described as very down to earth, practical and relevant.She is well known for bringing positive change to people’s lives both professionally and personally. Geoff Wake has since 1996 helped both local and overseas businesses to lift the performance of their people. As principal consultant for Amalgam Consulting Ltd, he provides strategicadvice, inspirational addresses, coaching, and quality seminars to help businesses get the very best from their people. His focus includes sales, customer service, and management, personal and business development.
Geoff’s success as a manager started early when, after his time as a management trainee, he was promoted to Assistant Manager of The Grand Chateau, the youngest in this position in the Tourist Hotel Corporation. From here Geoff entered the tourism industry where he worked in over 50 countries. His achievements include starting up a South American-based tour company which is still in operation today, some 16 years later.
Returning to New Zealand, Geoff continued his success in the role of sales management. In this position Geoff grew the sales of an Auckland-based niche travel-wholesale business by three times over a three-year period.
His ability to significantly increase performance and profits has seen Geoff own three very successful businesses of his own and led him to work with many of New Zealand’s best-known companies. Geoff believes that for businesses to get the best from their people they must take a holistic approach to managing performance. While effective strategies to select, develop and retain high performers are essential, Geoff is adamant that success is determined by good execution. Organisations must "do the right things" as well as "do things right!"
Geoff resides in Auckland, New Zealand. He is a Certified Behavioural and Values Analyst, certified in the TTI TriMetrix System, and is an NLP-NS Master Practitioner and Certifying Trainer through the International Society of Neuro-Semantics. His interests include golf, skiing and mountain biking. He is also a Rotarian and enjoys studying philosophy.
